Seacoast Studios Presents FrAcTured by Robinson Wilson

…Picking up the pieces after a high school shooting…”

FRI13-001_Fringe_Logo_dateIt’s fringing time! It’s fringing time! What is the fringe you ask? It’s an eleven-day theatre festival happening September 5th – 15th, 2013 on and around Granville Island. In its 29th year, the Vancouver Fringe Festival is consistently voted “Vancouver’s Best Arts Festival” by Georgia Straight Readers.  This year the festival has over 80 shows and anticipates over 30,000 attendees.

One show that is sure to have a large impact on audiences at this year’s Fringe Festival is FrAcTured, a provocative and emotionally engaging production, which invites viewers to a personal and meaningful dialogue about violence in schools, bullying and gun control.  Nine students share their perceptions and experiences around a high school shooting that left some of them injured and many friends and teachers dead.

Seacoast Studios has staged over 40 productions in the last 15 years in both traditional theatres venues and environmental venues including: The Blue Room; Trust; Women of Manhattan; Chapter Two; Love and Dreaming and many more. “Honest, powerful, provocative, surprisingly humorous, relevant and thoroughly engaging,” FrAcTured is their latest production.  www.seacoasttheatrecentre.com

Most of the fun in Fringe comes from the community involvement, and here is an opportunity to get involved with the 2013 Fringe Festival by sponsoring FrAcTured and buying an ad in the program. In exchange for your $50 partnership you will receive:

  • One black-and-white business card size (2×3.5) ad in FrAcTured’s program.  (Ad to be submitted before August 19 in digital format)
  • The same add will be posted on seacoasttheatrecentre.com
  • One complimentary ticket to a showing of ALETHEIA at the Fringe

If FrAcTured sells out its run, your ad will be seen by 468 people (78 people per night x 6 shows), meaning your business pays just under $0.10 per person. Theatre programs are some of the most intently browsed ads, because people are usually waiting 10-15 minutes in their seats before the show starts with nothing to do.

Help support arts in the Vancouver community, and contribute the success of a play that aims to enrich attendee’s lives, by purchasing an ad. Please contact Sara Vickruck 604-345-9542 for more details.
